Phoenix is our newest—and perhaps most beautiful—studio: a tiny lesson in how good small can feel.
Created in 2026 after eight years of designing, hosting and learning what travellers actually use, this compact hideaway brings together some of our favourite details in one seriously stylish space. Think a king-size bed, crisp panelled walls, warm oak tones, brass accents and a jewel-box kitchenette tucked beneath softly lit oak shelves.
Everything has been considered. The kitchenette gives you what you need for coffee, cold drinks, breakfast and light bites without sacrificing precious space. Air conditioning, blackout drapes and a modern bathroom make it wonderfully comfortable, while double French doors open onto your own outdoor seating area overlooking the shared tropical garden.
Phoenix isn't about having more room than you need. It's about making every bit of room you have feel special.
Beyond the studio, complimentary Beach Club access puts an oceanfront pool, loungers and Wi-Fi within an easy walk, while Sea Salt's shared garden and evening gazebo give you somewhere to stretch out closer to home.
For travellers who would rather spend on Barbados than unnecessary square footage, Phoenix delivers something we love: small footprint, excellent taste, and the feeling that you somehow got away with something.
Micro-luxury, done the Sea Salt way.

Hi, I’m Roxanne, owner and host of Sea Salt Studios. I created Sea Salt as a boutique alternative to the traditional hotel experience — thoughtfully designed, comfortable studios for independent travelers who want to experience Barbados at their own pace.
I live nearby and work with a small local team to keep the property welcoming, well maintained and running smoothly. I’m particularly passionate about the little details that make a stay feel effortless: comfortable beds, beautiful spaces, thoughtful amenities and plenty of local knowledge when you need it.
Sea Salt is intentionally contactless and self-directed, giving guests privacy and independence while providing a comfortable home base in the heart of Holetown. After welcoming hundreds of guests from around the world, I still believe the best Barbados holidays are often the simplest ones: a great place to sleep, the beach within walking distance, and everything you need close by.
Welcome to Sea Salt — I hope you enjoy this little corner of the West Coast as much as I do.
